After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies, Major in European Studies from the De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines, Jive further explored her interest in international political economy and international financial institutions through a summer graduate school program at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy of Tufts University in Massachusetts. Upon her return to Manila, Jive pursued a career in the Philippine government, where she had the unique opportunity to immediately sharpen her communications and stakeholder engagement skills under the tutelage of some of the country’s best leaders in politics, communications, and public relations. 

 

Her work as a university lecturer, member of the politico-legislative staff of a Senator and at the Senate Office of International Relations and Protocol prepared Jive for her later role as Head of Public Affairs of the Philippine Department of Energy. In that role, she found professional fulfillment in rising to the challenge of combining various communications tools to simplify otherwise highly technical topics for broader public understanding.
